The Code Zone Game Jams
A surprise theme, a couple of weeks, and a game that did not exist before you made it. Build on your own or with friends, at any level, and our mentors are online every day while it runs.
Free whether or not you are a member. Members get their own mentor alongside them.
Two weeks. One theme. Go!
The last one: Fragile: Handle With Care
Entries are closed, but every game made in it is still playable, and it is worth a look before the next theme lands.
Play the games from Fragile: Handle With CareThe next one is in the school holidays
Jams run in the holidays and at half term. The theme is kept a surprise and goes up in the platform a couple of weeks before it starts, along with the dates and how to enter.
Members get told automatically. If you are not a member, check the platform nearer the holidays.
How a jam works
A theme nobody saw coming
It is announced the moment the jam opens. Past ones have included The Floor Is Lava, Losing Is Good, and Fragile: Handle With Care.
Build it your way
On your own or with friends, in Scratch or MakeCode, at whatever level you are at. There is no minimum and nothing to submit but the game itself.
Someone is always about
Mentors are online daily from 10am to 7pm for the whole jam, for a hand with the code, an idea when you are stuck, or a chat.
Everything gets showcased at the end!
Previous Game Jams
Every jam ends in a roundup of what everyone built, and the games stay playable.

What are the children building this month?
One email a month: the games our members have made, what is coming up, and the odd thing worth trying at home. No pressure, and you can leave whenever you like.
